Our Mission is to be an Innovative Western States “Green” University Housing Developer and Asset Manager.
We Are Committed to Providing Environmental Stewardship Through:
LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) and ConSol’s ComfortWise®, Earth Advantage and other Energy Programs:
LEED is a Green Building/Sustainable Design rating system developed by the US Green Building Council. This rating system was developed to define, quantify and certify buildings for their green building/sustainable design achievements, and includes increasingly higher levels of accreditation known as Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Valeo also works with the local jurisdictions and uses specialists recognized in the green energy services to assist in achieving substantial energy efficiencies beyond market level energy targets. Valeo has strong experience with balancing the economics of a project while surpassing market level “green” objectives.
Green Mission Statement
Valeo understands that developing and operating “green” is building wisely. Green programs and projects yield cost savings through the lower cost of finance, development and operations, reduced energy and water consumption, providing a healthy indoor environment for occupants, and places a smaller burden on natural resources.
We strive to integrate the following Green/Sustainable Design principles in our projects:
VALEO (Latin), v. [vah-lay-o] to be strong; to be vigorous; to be powerful; to be effective; to prevail’ to succeed; to be influential; to be of value.
